New programs to help everyone are a great solution on paper, but like every household and business, the state has to spend within its means. The last budget allocated over $100 million for homeless prevention, yet we still have a major issue. Where is the money being spent?

First, we need to redefine what calls dispatch to police and what calls need a social worker. Police officers are not trained to deal with every situation involving people with mental or physical disabilities. A social worker, accompanied by a police officer when appropriate, should be the first response when dealing with mental health crises.
Second, laws that prevent police from doing their jobs are getting in the way of public safety. If a car is stolen, or a squatter takes over a house, police should have the capability to apprehend those in violation

Also putting height restriction barriers before low bridges will help reduce the collision rate.
